Rumor has spread that all Italian riders would consider opening the space to allow Valentino Rossi to overtake easily. It followed after collision with Marc Marquez known as #SepangClash led Rossi to have three penalty point.
Starting from the last grid will then imposed upon Rossi after he had accumulated one previous penalty poin from Misano. Four penalty points rules that a rider having it will start from the last grid in the next race.
The rumor, of course, never finds its truth. Honestly, clearing space for Rossi made by all Italian riders who symphatize to Rossi is in breach of MotoGP sportmanship. However, they are still able to help Rossi in approaching Rossi without any breach of MotoGP sportmanship. Any of them should be highly encouraged to overtake Jorge Lorenzo as strong as they are able to do that.
Take Andrea Iannone for example. The Ducati rider who was really strong during free practice and qualification can be Rossi’s ‘helpful hand’ to get Lorenzo passed. Other Italian riders surely should do the same thing. When this scenario is well applied, gap between Rossi during his struggle from last grid and Lorenzo as pole sitter may be gradually cut off.
Any of Italian riders competing in this ultimate race will need to have a desire of winning the race. That way, they will prevent Lorenzo from gaining maximum points while allowing Rossi to finish ahead of Lorenzo.
